There's no shortage of narcissism and selfishness on the Internet in general, in society in general, it's not just in the DL fora. Those two beasts, combined with no small amount of carelessness and entitlement, eventually sank me, and unabated, are likely going to sink the usefulness of many, many more to come. With neither irony nor spite, I commend Douglas for his honesty. While a public confession of sins may or may not ultimately help him on his own personal journey ... it does serve a greater purpose as a cautionary note to those who follow (and there will inevitably be many to whom it applies, whether they see the light or not is a matter of personal conviction).
