A bunch of prime donne on the rag... ![]()
RE: Doogle Confesses: "Narcissistic & Selfish" - Armando Ramos - 10-08-2010 It's never the twat with the 29 page resume who decides he's narcissistic. At least now RCD really is helping the community...by staying quiet. Did he get shanghaied at Klempner's Meher Baba club and forced to take a vow of silence? Who knew it applied to keyboards? RE: Doogle Confesses: "Narcissistic & Selfish" - Albert Hidel - 10-09-2010 Quote:"Narcissistic & Selfish" ...and short. He left out short. ![]() Quote:...I've found a way to get even lower. Stop! You won't be able to see over the table if you get any lower! Get a couple phone books to sit on, then you can pretend you're ready for the big people's table. Let's hope Richie isn't in a Janko-like self-destructive mode. Rolling that nice Beemer would be a shame. RE: Doogle Confesses: "Narcissistic & Selfish" - ham - 10-09-2010 Here are your e-heroes, folks...come and get them...although the nutty house truck should first. RE: Doogle Confesses: "Narcissistic & Selfish" - old dog - 10-10-2010 There's no shortage of narcissism and selfishness on the Internet in general, in society in general, it's not just in the DL fora. Those two beasts, combined with no small amount of carelessness and entitlement, eventually sank me, and unabated, are likely going to sink the usefulness of many, many more to come. With neither irony nor spite, I commend Douglas for his honesty. While a public confession of sins may or may not ultimately help him on his own personal journey ... it does serve a greater purpose as a cautionary note to those who follow (and there will inevitably be many to whom it applies, whether they see the light or not is a matter of personal conviction). Shouldn't he tear up all his diplomas first? Correct response: 11-22-2010. JFK Assassination Day is a winner! Now, I realize that "important" can be a fairly subjective term, but really, is this "important" to anyone at all? Yes Rich, you effed up. No one is surprised. Yes Rich, somehow you managed to get a useless (as you admit) PhD from a bottom rung school in make-up-your-own-major. Nice job, no one is impressed. Yes Rich, everyone should get a degree in line with their career path. Know where the target is before you start firing. No one but you seems not to understand that, even amongst those of us without ~20 years in the military. Rich Douglas Wrote:Why a PhD? (Or Any Other Degree) RE: Doogle Confesses: "Narcissistic & Selfish" - ham - 11-24-2010 Quote:Why would someone who knows a great deal about this field (nontraditional higher education ) subject himself to an operation that (a) had a shaky and suspect connection to an accredited (equivalent) Mexican university, (b) was run by someone (Danzig) with a track record of scamming, © had little in the way of resources to run its operation, (d) and seemed to be merely "renting" a foreign school's accredited status in order to operate a U.S.-based school? Very simply, because I was (sadly) obsessed with getting the Ph.D., and I was willing to cross a lot of lines to do it. Sounds like the profile of one who's got an ebay degree in the shopping cart... When I first joined degreeinfo, mr. narcissist claimed to "be fine" with his MIGS stint...I wonder whether they change opinion or underwear more often... Anyways, here are your heroes of distance education... Quote:Again, an obsession with getting the degree. A focus on the degree, but not on the reasons for getting one. So..... Union charges $66.000 for a Ph.D...HMU charges 18.000...but it all boils down to getting what it takes intellectually, not only financially...taking a lifetime to earn a degree based on a so-so survey and with friend John Bear appointed as lifeline is the closest thing to a scam or milled degree. Is he back already? Wasn't he supposed to quit forever? PFFT! Same old internet prima donna act... |
