Stalker George Gollin Dies In Car Crash

THIS STORY IS STILL DEVELOPING...

(Local Team News 9) Stalker George Gollin died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident - September 11, 2012

Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that George Gollin lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly.

The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident.

Witnesses have stated that George Gollin's car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll.

Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether he was driving under the influence, however initial findings indicate that drugs or alcohol did not contribute in any way to this accident as it was more likely to have been caused by road conditions.

Memorial services for George Gollin have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.

Good point, ham. Is Gollin more like Rupert Pupkin in "The King of Comedy" or Travis Bickle in "Taxi Driver"? Both are dangerous mental cases, and in that sense the comparisons are equally valid.

Pupkin lived his life vicariously through a talk show host, while Gollin tries to escape his mundane existence by pretending to be John Bear.

Bickle ostensibly found his redemption by rescuing a young girl from a life of degradation and exploitation, while Gollin contrived to degrade and exploit a vibrant woman and her family.

Gollin may believe it's "better to be king for a night, than schmuck for a lifetime," but in scheming to make himself a king he only revealed to the world what a total schmuck he really is.

I see Gollin more like a misogynist version of Bickle, except that Bickle was self-reliant. Gollin, being utterly incompetent on his own, must resort to the Manson-esque manipulation of others to wreak his retributive havoc.

But like Bickle, Gollin has lost the ability to relate to the normal world. Bickle didn't see why Betsy would object to hitting a porno movie on their first date. Gollin thinks stalking, extortion, defamation, computer hacking, impersonations and civil rights violations are perfectly appropriate behavior, then is mystified why spammers get more replies to their posts than he gets to his.
