Ms. Bishop is Jewish, with her father (Samuel Solomon Bishop) being a PhD and a professor at Northeastern University. Her mother is Judith S. and involved in local politics in Braintree, serving as a member of the Police Personnel Board, Amy killed her brother Seth by some accounts, in a rage, She is a self-described "Socialist" and is an Obama enthusiast, liberal, was a person of interest for an attempted bombing at Harvard Children's Hospital, particularly on her Doctral overseer another Jewish Doctor (she apparently does not discriminate even re: her own faith). She is not a member of any known Synagogue nor has particularly close ties to the Jewish community.
