Who's a Quaker now and how do you know?

Richard Kimble Wrote:Who's a Quaker now and how do you know? Didn't Obama claim he had converted to one of the 3000 protestant denominations they have there? Last time I checked he had parted ways with his longtime spiritual leader, an African clergyman who spoke his mind up about 911 or something... I didn't bother to follow up what the press said between that moment, the moment he claimed he was a Muslim and the moment he no longer was one once again... Sounds like we got another Henri de Bourbon... I lost count how many times the former king of Navarre converted from protestantism to catholicism... News Flash... You or I or Moe next door know NOTHING but either what the press tells us or what people tell themselves, in case it doesn't get lost in the cutting room because it's not proper for us to know.

So, please validate your claim he is a Quaker and provide references. He left Trinity United Church of Christ. He may still list the United Church of Christ as his denominational preference. Richard Kimble Wrote:ham Wrote:...So you say he's not a Quaker...good. That changes everything. Is he a Muslim perhaps? Hey, have you forgotten the earlier topic? Quote:Oh brilliant one, no one can seek a third term for president. There is a two-term limit. Well, as I said, I can only rely on what the press publishes...or people tell themselves...unless there is some cutting room business going... So... Since you claim to know more, I'll listen to you... Perhaps should I have said he is a Muslim? Is his 'freudian slip' a 'proof' enough for you? As I said, the man has left & joined many churches throughout his life...maybe he'll change skin once again...so you'll have a lot of adjustments to do to keep pace. Meanwhile, how much money did he make last year? Oh, I am sure he's sending 3/4 of it to his earth-quaked, HIV infected and poverty plagued 'brothers' in Kenya... But hey...let facts speak. The unwashed tried draft-dodging chicken-hawks and they didn't lead them to the land of plenty (Cheney was very swift to reward his corporate supporters, though )... Now the world is ready for an African Snow-white...so while the unwashed dance to celebrate the demise of taboos, unemployment among 'people of color' and their kin doubled in France during the last weeks... We'll see if this one leads them to the land of plenty, and is not just another hoaxer who wants to make it big before retirement. Remember...Peru tried it first...but they don't seem too happy they did...

ham Wrote:...He's a Quaker now... Again, where is your proof? Or will you now admit you posted a lie? Richard Kimble Wrote:ham Wrote:... Where is your proof? You must have really been the opinion-leading thug in middle school... I'm glad I dropped out because -after uncle Janko- your iron-clad superior mental abilities risk to jeopardize the last eight years of therapy... I'll go this far... I can take back he is a Quaker if you think his 'freudian slip' warrants my statement he's a Muslim... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIXRt57tM3Q But I suppose you enthusiastic supporters will just shut the f-ck up, eh? So ok...I no longer think he's a Quaker and upon further scrutiny I now think I can trust him when he claims to be a Muslim... Oh wait...you are going to say that 'that time doesn't count', 'it was a joke', ' a mistake'...so how can you tell when they 'mean it'? Did he 'truly means it' when he joins or when he leaves a church? Hey... there was this yahoo news about a clergyman who had surgery to remove an APPLE from his anus...he said it got there because of an accidental fall... How would a 'supporter willing to dream' spin the yarn about THAT one?

No bullying here. You said he is a Quaker and I simply asked you to prove it. How is that bullying! You got caught in a lie. Now be a man, admit you lied, and move on. Quote:I no longer think he's a Quaker... Your initial post didn't say you think. You made a "matter-of-fact" statement. Okay, enough on this. Have a good evening.

Quote:Your initial post didn't say you think. You made a "matter-of-fact" statement. What? A 'matter-of-fact' statement about someone I only saw on TV, who changes allegiance more often than a woman her tampon? This is a 'matter of fact': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIXRt57tM3Q " My Muslim faith ". Care to comment or do you only pick easy wins? Quote:The 22nd Amendment to the United States Constitution! So does the Constitution says something about Quote:I think, however, that old Bush was the only one in recent times to go for a third term in a row for the same party... About the "same party elected third times in a row"? Besides Quote:Muslim education in a Muslim country is just part of what makes him a wonderful, rounded-up, awesome and open-minded individual to make us dream (so preaches a Jewish AAA+ analyst on TV right now ). The Quaker comment was sarcastic to match the 'muslim education' item, which is public domain. Come on, you are not as great a lawyer as you may want others to believe... The jury is not impressed I'm afraid...
