WELL, the proof is out there for those willing to listen.
Those among the unwashed who seem to gain 20 kilos of rock-hard muscle only by typing 'doctor professor' suffer from serious kindergarten bully syndrome.
They are the chorus of the unwashed laughing when the schoolyard bully pulls a prank on the nerdy kid and the nerd gets hurt.
Then the bully turns to them and asks the rhetoric question:
Why are you laughing, f-ckface? Your mother has sex with truck drivers for a dime and you'll be sorry if you don't shut your trap ...
Oh sorry Moe...I didn't mean it...whatever you say Moe...but please still be my friend Moe.

His description is this: "My PhD thesis was titled “Charm Production By Muons and Its Role in Scale-Noninvariance.” It describes results from one of the analyses of Fermilab Experiment 203/391, a Berkeley-Fermilab-Princeton collaboration that built and installed instrumentation for the experiment during 1975-1977, took data during 1977 and 1978, and began producing physics results as the various analyses matured over the next few years. It was a small collaboration in comparison with modern experiments— four graduate students, two postdocs, four faculty, and a half-dozen research scientists. We worked very hard, designed and built a very large amount of instrumentation, and learned a great deal. The assertion by “Janko” that 16 people wrote my dissertation is nonsense. The members of the collaboration worked together on both the hardware and data analyses needed to extract physics from the experiment. That’s how we do it in elementary particle physics. My thesis is my own, written entirely by me. A long article, published in Physical Review D, vol. 24 (1981), contains most of it."
This means he wrote a book with 15 others doing all the work and he was the kid who went for coffee. So he observed others who did the work and wrote about what they did. He had to have their input and they had to co-author it because he was only a research assistant (flunky). The kid who cleaned up the spills and kissed their asses.

That really isn't fair. I have no doubt that Gollin did exactly 1/15 of the research carried out in preparing his dissertation. That's the way it's done in nuclear physics. Just a note - in every other field collaberation is called cheating.

Gollin doesn't live in the real world. As noted elsewhere here, he lives in the fantasy world of a
narcissist.
And why not? Up until now he has been getting away with it. But when fantasy meets reality (as it ultimately must) he could be in for a seriously rude awakening.

Gollin in the clear? Or does he just have a daughter we haven't heard about?
Woman: Dad was the Zodiac, and I can prove it
Quote:Thursday, April 30, 2009
The Zodiac killer, it turns out, was a Jekyll and Hyde carpenter from Orange County who dragged his 7-year-old daughter along for thrills as he carried out his reign of carnage in the Bay Area 40 years ago. At least that's what the daughter, Deborah Perez, told reporters and a frenzied mob of Zodiac buffs Wednesday. ...
Somewhere in between all the yelling and jostling for face time on TV cameras, an actual press corps listened to Perez, now 47, and her representatives lay out a case that the Zodiac was her father. Their guy: Guy Ward Hendrickson, a resident of Santa Ana in 1968 and 1969, when the Zodiac killed his five known victims before seemingly dropping from the face of the earth. ...
Among the evidence Perez mentioned was a pair of brown, horn-rimmed eyeglasses she says her father took from Paul Stine, a cabbie shot on Oct. 11, 1969, in San Francisco. She said she is turning them over to the San Francisco Police Department, and that if the prescription fits Stine's or is linked to the Zodiac in any other way - such as through DNA - it will help prove her case. According to accounts of the crime, Stine's body was missing his eyeglasses when he was found.
