Why did CHEA dump the reprobate Gollin?

Did it have anything to do with his getting sued multiple times in federal court for stalking, defamation, extortion, computer hacking, and civil rights violations?

Or was it the death threats and impersonations?

Perhaps the 1,280 posts on a website operated by a gay boy pornographer?

The 16-person dissertation "collaboration" he palmed off as his independent work?

His wife being cited by the FDA for selling 386 mutant lab pigs for food?

Or was it just his Marxist political rhetoric, anti-Christian bigotry, effeminate mannerisms and public exhibitions of poor personal hygiene?

CHEA has dumped George Gollin as a member of its 2012-2013 Board of Directors.

An important step by CHEA to restore their lost credibility. Until 2006 CHEA was at the forefront of innovation in higher ed, with such important initiatives as HETA. It's good to see they have finally deloused and fumigated.

CHEA Announces New and Reelected Board Members and
Executive Committee Members

(Washington, DC) – At the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), held April 30-May 1, 2012 in Washington, DC, the board voted to elect two new members and reelect three members. The changes are effective July 1, 2012.

The new board members (who will serve a three-year term from 2012-2015) are:

• James L. Gaudino, President, Central Washington University
  
• Satish K. Tripathi, President, University at Buffalo, State University of New York

The returning board members (who will serve a three-year term from 2012-2015) are:

• Madlyn L. Hanes, Vice President, Commonwealth Campuses, Pennsylvania State University
  
• Dorothy Leland, Chancellor, University of California, Merced
  
• Judy C. Miner, President, Foothill College

Reelected members of the Executive Committee (who will serve a one-year term from 2012-2013) are:

• David G. Carter (Chair), Chancellor Emeritus, Connecticut State University System
  
• Charles Larson (Vice Chair), Chairman of the Board, ViaGlobal Group
  
• Madlyn L. Hanes (Secretary), Vice President, Commonwealth Campuses, Pennsylvania State University
  
• John E. Bassett (Treasurer), President, Heritage University
  
• Bobby Fong (Member-at-Large), President, Ursinus College

In addition, Dorothy Leland was elected Member-at-Large of the Executive Committee.

Where was the big announcement? When he conned his way into the board room in 2006 he couldn't wait to bask in the glory. He posted it on DD within minutes (back when more than three non-spammers still posted there), then soaked up two pages of inane congratulatory messages.

Now, no posts since March. Well, clearly he has been humiliated (again). CHEA needs a lawsuit magnet like Oregon needed a lawsuit magnet. One of our esteemed colleagues has communication from Judith Eaton stating that Gollin's aberrant conduct is "not a CHEA matter."

The matter to which you refer is not a CHEA matter, nor does CHEA have knowledge of it, nor did CHEA authorize George Gollin or anyone else to speak for CHEA on it.

Considering how very little the putz Gollin brought to the table in the first place, I can see why CHEA got tired of constantly laboring under threats of expensive litigation because of his abusive behavior. Looks like it won't be a CHEA matter any more.

I'm trying to guess what he might have come up with, but not being a sociopath myself I really can't imagine.
