Reading that reminds me of the line in that old movie "Lenny" with Dustin Hoffman. The expert is testifying about his expertise:

Elmer seems to think he's an expert at.......damn near everything that passes before his consciousness. Yet he rarely seems to spend more than year or two getting paid to do it. Probably gets hired in December, fired in January and puts it on his resume as two years.
