I agree up to a point, ham. Unlike many of his other lies and distortions, nobody has lost their job, business, reputation or freedom on the basis of this one. And if it was just one isolated instance it probably wouldn't be noticed or worthy of comment. The guy is obviously an idiot and the legal system is complicated, so ordinarily somebody who couldn't tell the difference between sanctions and costs might get a pass.
But it's a veritable shit storm of lies that emits from this guy! He lies about nearly every fucking thing, large or small. In my opinion the guy is a sociopath and a pathological liar. He can't have it both ways. If he's an "expert" then he knows exactly what's going on, and if he doesn't get it right it's because he's lying.
In this case, presumably he lied because he thought he could intimidate some of the many others who are circling him (and UI and Gay Al and Oregon) preparing lawsuits over his lies and bullshit. He figured nobody would check the file. Obviously, he was wrong again.
And, as a matter of fact, people have lost their jobs, businesses, reputations and freedom on account of his bogus shit-stirring and self-promotion. We should neither miss an opportunity to point out every one of his fallacious "expert" statements and opinions, nor dismiss any of them as trivial. Outside government and academia (i.e., in normal society) everything he says and does really is trivial, but as long as people are going to be railroaded into jail based on his psychotic fantasies he needs to be exposed.
