The commission has received a copy of the 1,800 pages of documents related to Category I that were provided to the Tribune in which the university redacted academic information, a decision the newspaper is fighting in court.

On Tuesday, Mikva asked the university to provide the test scores, grade-point averages and high school ranks for politically connected candidates.

Since the Commission has no subpena power, expect them to sit on their collective thumbs.  Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune sues to get the redacted info.

Just who are these "higher-ups" who were calling the shots?  Could one of them be Dr. Melanie Loots, UIUC Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and wife of George Gollin (George D. Gollin, George Dana Gollin)???  Is this why Gollin is refusing to comment?????
