Some schools will not accept UOP degrees, though I expect many will. They neither know or care how good it is, but if one wants a good, recognized education, you must look elsewhere. Those 8 week / 110 day degrees that are pushed by the gang are enough for many people but not for all and the gang can't seem to figure out that some people, maybe most, really do need the education.

Can you imagine trying to start a college teaching career based on 110 day degrees? It won't work, the schools know better. Of course if you want to be an on-line, part-time, low-paid, professor, well, maybe Excelsior will work, but poorly. But if you have the goal of teaching at some local B&M college, you had best get degrees from something respected and known.

UOP has its place in the DL world, but not as a good school or choice, just useful to some in particular cases.
