What really ticks me off is when the dickless crusaders start attacking real schools as being degreemills when, in fact, they have no personal knowledge of the subject, relying simply on personal mental impressions.

the problem is that the public and authorities are even bigger jackasses.
If I put a claim forward, no matter how well-researched, I am a phony internet alias...people won't gain 20kg rock-hard muscle simply by whispering  doctor Gollin or our international distance education expert doctor John Bear.
If I called the press, they'd label me a mythomanian; if they receive a letter with prestigious university letterhead, they are all ears...if someone has sold 100.000 'guides', he must be an 'authority'... L.I.A.R, Millard Fillmore...hell, that's stuff for archaeologists and evil does, even if featured in the prestigious TIMES...

Sure, this is how things work whether we like it or not. Common people, journalists, authorities, everyone are inclined to pay more attention to opinions expressed by individuals regarded as important or holding important positions, and usually disregard opinions expressed by ordinary mortals, especially when these opinions are not supported by hard evidence.

However, even important individuals' opinions are not usually taken for granted through an act of faith. The big difference is that these people can get the wheels rolling so that evidence about what they claim can be found and verified.

Well, Gollin did not limit himself to just expressing opinions, he used his privileged position to initiate action that resulted in a very positive outcome. I don't understand what might be wrong with that. I or you could never do it, Gollin could from his position and he did.

Some of the former St. Regis "graduates" belonging to the category I refer to in my posts, have since pursued and obtained degrees from legitimate, accredited institutions or are still pursuing such degrees. They have been trying to put the stigma of their St. Regis involvement behind them, but it is not that easy.

A couple of them used to be among the most vociferous defenders of St. Regis legitimacy. Gollin was often the target of their vicious attacks because they believed they were right and Gollin had launched a hate campaign against their "school" for his own, unknown, sinister reasons. Well, Gollin was right and they were wrong and they came not only to accept and acknowledge that, but also to be thankful to Gollin because it is now obvious that what he did was for the best for them too.

Well George Gollin (George Dana Gollin, George D. Gollin) can sure use defeders like you on his side. That poor vitim is attacked all the time and his being right 80% of the time should be good enough danm it!

By all means, lets leave out that George Gollin (George Dana Gollin, George D. Gollin) has had people mentioned in that SRU mess who had nothing to do with their activities. Lets leave out that George Gollin (George Dana Gollin, George D. Gollin) has cyberstalked people as well as legitimate businesses and will not admit when or if he makes a mistake. Let us set aside that George Gollin (George Dana Gollin, George D. Gollin) knows nothing about distance education degree programs having never taken a course through DE. Let's leave out that George Gollin (George Dana Gollin, George D. Gollin) knows nothing about the people he stalks but relies on speculation and just, as he says. "connecting the dots" to make his speculations. Let
's just forget about George Gollin (George Dana Gollin, George D. Gollin) knowing nothing about accreditation, yet by kissing ass and having his wife write one of his recommendations fraudulantly (because she doesn't use his last name and is a real university administrator) and that among others got him appointed to CHEA. Lets set aside the fact that George Gollin (George Dana Gollin, George D. Gollin) knew nothing about distance education or alleged diploma mills until August of 2003 when he began his "hobby" of stalking, yet was on CNN and other news stations proclaiming to be an expert on the topic.
