Oh, I don't know guys, I always thought we have an illegal immigration problem because Americans like their head of lettuce $.99 a head and delicious strawberries $1 per pound; when in season of course. The reality is illegal immigrants do the jobs no one wants because those jobs do not pay a living wage and the American demographic that used to do that kind of work are happy being on welfare for the last 2-3 generations. Pay living wages for those jobs and Americans will take them and there will be no need for immigrant and migrant labors. But then us Americans would have to pay $10 per cheeseburger because the price of the leaf of lettuce costs McDonald's $5 per leaf. Can't have it both ways. To me, "protecting the border" argument sounds a lot like that idiot Gollum and his argument of protecting all of us from Diploma Mills to reduce the number of fake doctors killing everyone and McVeigh didn't have a fake Chemical Engineering degree either Gollum, you asshole. I don't recall a single terrorist from 911 or otherwise come from Mexico. Also, when the immigrants spend their measely below welfare salary on Budweiser every weekend, I seem to recall they have to pay Sales Tax and Liquor tax on that beer, so please don't say they do not pay taxes. There is no American that would pay income tax on that salary as it is illegal to pay someone as little as they get paid.

To me it is no different than getting our goods made in Mexico, China, or wherever, except the labor just comes to the USA and gets abused here instead.

trust me, you will find more (illegal) immigrants running gangs, selling dope, orchestrating prostitution rings than picking lettuce THESE DAYS.

Think about this...the west is not some 'very democratic republic of Congo'...illegal aliens get welfare, hospitals and all the rest without contributing in taxes (it seems there is a consensus that even those who work mostly do it unofficially ), so we are ALREADY paying the burger not $10, but $20 a piece, considering the staggering state of public indebtedness...thus YOUR taxes raise every year and your benefits decrease...because big brother is so keen on proving WWII was a just cause that now every illegal alien is a golden occasion to prove how we 'learnt the WWII lesson' in an orgy of empathy and bleeding hearts...

Thinking that the millions of illegal aliens live in the shadow of the fifth dimension without any major impact on society but humble cheap labour so that the master race can enjoy $.99 lettuce is worth of some Al Gore informercial.
For each and every immigrant who works officially you get a few who don't, yet still collect welfare, medical aid and whatever...
as much as we think that this welfare they collect be little or low-quality it's unpaid for...and someone will have to foot the bill...so that hamburger isn't that cheap after all.

Another price to pay is crime...destitute, harmless immigrants dressed in rags who -thanks rabbi Marx- are here to offer us an occasion to "right WWII hatred" oftentimes run street gangs and crime rings...they may violently bully your son at school; might burglarize your home; might rape your sister if she walks home alone...
Can you put a price tag on that?
