Gay Activist George Gollin Trounced In Primary

Gollin spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and got only 5500 more votes than he would have gotten for nothing.

According to Gollin's most recent FEC report, he spent $250,450 through February 26, 2014. (That's three weeks before the election, so it's a safe bet he spent a lot more than that quarter million.)

That's about $45 for every vote over the 4000 he could have had for free. Callis spent $378,083 for her 15,620 total votes. Knocking off the 4000 free ones, she spent only about $32 per vote.

The bottom line is that Gollin's reckless spending forced Callis to waste money she would have better spent against Davis in November. Thus it becomes clear that Gollin was not running on behalf of the Democrat ideology, but rather for the sole purpose of promoting George Gollin. And once again, he did more damage than good, both to his purported allies and himself. Now everyone from Urbana to Edwardsville knows what a selfish, incompetent douchebag he really is.

Maybe next time Gollin will confine his delusions of grandeur to something he's better suited for.
