McCain's Corbomite Maneuver

Sarah Palin is to John McCain what "Corbomite" was to Capt. Kirk in the original Star Trek series.  Kirk bluffed the alien threatening to destroy him by announcing his ship had the substance "Corbomite" incorporated in it, which creates a reverse reaction of equal strength if any destructive energy touches the vessel.

Except this is no bluff.  McCain showed us why ex-fighter pilots should not be effed with, even at 72 years old.  And the harder the socialists try to attack Palin, the greater destruction they do to themselves.

Media pummel Palin while Obama gets kid gloves

Former top Hillary Clinton adviser Mark Penn says the media obsession with finding skeletons in the closet of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin since virtually the moment she was named the Republican vice presidential candidate could well backfire.

In an interview with CBSNews.com, Mr. Penn said, "I think here the media are on very dangerous ground. I think that when you see them going through every single expense report that Governor Palin ever filed, if they don't do that for all four of the candidates, they're on very dangerous ground. I think the media so far have been the biggest losers in this race. And they continue to have growing credibility problems."

I couldn't agree more. The scrutiny accorded Governor Palin is far more intense and malicious in its intent than any directed toward either of the men on the Democratic ticket. Liberals are driven nuts by the idea that this woman could be that proverbial heartbeat away from being president...

You have to love the failing Democrats who have become everything they have criticized. Apparently the only woman allowed to aspire to the office of president must be plain and shrill and look enough like a lesbian to drive her husband into the arms of another woman.

Palin appears to be everyone's dream mom/wife/daughter. To the Democrats, that's something to despise. Sexist democrats? Who'd a thunk it?
