Professor Len returns to Degreeinfo

Little Arminius Wrote:He was involved with SRU for a short time and peddled real estate in Dubai as well. Now he's back at DI with several new certificates and postgraduate diplomas. Len opened with the following statement:

Quote:I have heard via the grapevine that certain specific South African earned degrees and diplomas are not accepted nor recognized outside South African borders and especially in countries such as the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc.
-- Len van der Walt

This specious statement, something I've never heard before, may be true for schools from every country in Africa, with the notable exception of South Africa which has strigent regulations concerning higher education. Len, an Afrikaner, knows this very well but still created a straw man (recognition of SA degrees) for some reason. Maybe Len is just laying the groundwork for his reemergence on the DL scene as something other than a poster? Will Len once again play a role in the operation of an unaccredited school, this time with a school claiming to operate from South Africa or Namibia? Does Len have what it takes to pull it off or is he a South African version of Dr. RRH?

DI thread started by Prof. Len

Lennie the real estate investor

Regards,

Len van der Walt the real estate guy is not the same person as Len van der Walt the poster at DI.

Back at the old Military Forums, one Nico Viljoen claimed that he was a friend of Len of SRU fame (I'm sure that not many people would admit to such poor taste). He made several other comments:
a. Len is not a fag (where did that come from? Big Grin Guilty conscience?)
b. Len was duped by SRU (that's doubtful; in any event he was not justified in calling himself Prof. Len))
c. Len himself was not available at the time to comment because he was "in the Middle East on business." (Dubai perhaps?)

Len / Dubai

I can't say about this individual here, but it is known many mills or unaccredited schools do offer 'professorships' and the like for wholesale in exchange for 'donations'...
Unlike 'platinum standard' schools that require hundreds thousands, unaccredited schools may find a few hundreds or thousands enough.

The person in the picture is not Len v.d.w. of SRU fame. No resemblance at all.

Len, along with the other guys in SRU's "faculty", got his "professorship" for free. Len and most of the other guys on the SRU faculty list, were actually commissioned to develop courses of study which they never taught and never received a cent from SRU for their work.

He and the others called themselves professors because they thought they had been appointed in teaching positions in a MoE accredited university.
