So a fake Syrian of suspicious circumstance received a fake degree from a fake university with the intention of making a fake claim to immigrate to the US.

Real terrorists aren't so stupid. They enroll in real schools and take real flight training to allow them to crash into real buildings.

Yep. Every time you fill up at the pump you send cash to the Middle East to fund terrorists. The Saudis pretend to be allies but where did bin Laden's money come from? We paid at the pump.

What's America's response? Get involved in an Iraqi civil war. What lesson was gained from WWI (victory) and WWII(victory) but lost in Korea (draw), Vietnam (defeat), and Iraq(?). The whole country is your enemy and make them bleed so bad they want peace. The Germans and Japanese learned quickly. As far as I can tell America is still at war with North Korea. Vietnam is at peace because they won. I suspect America will bleed in Iraq until they lose. When you start trying to tell the good Iraqis from the bad Iraqis you've already lost because they all want you dead.

until not so long ago our filthy post-WWII politicians exalted alien 'culture centres' as boon to the host country, so that racist rednecks and cryptonazis could learn the bit of lesson WWII didn't (supposedly) teach them; we all could go there to learn belly dance and exotic 'spirituality', eat falafel and broaden our horizon.

Western countries and their politicians are pure farce.
I watched a documentary filming a convoy of Afghani opium travelling the country; on board the crummy trucks you had few locals dressed in rags.
The trucks were stopped at a 'democracy checkpoint' and ignored. The checkpoint honcho ( from some joke country in the service of the USA ) told undercover reporters later that he knew there was opium/drug materials there, but he had been instructed to 'ignore if being ignored' as long as hostile acts are not committed. Opium has excellent cropping since democracy invaded the country. Now a transient reminiscence of Iran-contras and other sordid details of what goes on behind the curtain of democracy taking over, John Wayne speeches and Chuck Norris patriotism.

The Israelis were one of the few people who could successfully fight terrorism. A bullet in the back of the head in the middle of the night may not win hearts and minds but it does win wars. They're even starting to fight like a bunch of girls now.

The army shouldn't be worrying about trials for terrorsts in Guantanimo. They screwed up the day they took their first prisoner.

The British knew how to defeat terrorists. They beat the Boers by locking up their families and letting hunger and disease take its course. They beat the Mau Maus with a big body count. They chose not to beat the Israelis for fear of bad publicity from a high body count. They fought like girls and lost.
