The book was far better. And the story was a little different. It begins how he is respected politician and philanthropist who recalls his life. There are a lot of details in the book which are not mentioned, such as that this man's fiance who he loved left and married a man in Egypt but died soon afterwards.
Actually, though this is not really an accurate description of how amnesia works. Amnesia is either temporary, lasting one to two days at most or is permanent, affecting victims of severe head trauma or diseases such as dementia or brain cancer. In the second category, victims will almost never recover.
Still its a great story.
And Ronald Coleman is a truly amazing actor. He was great in everything he did.
