Its important to understand why this board exists in the first place. There are a large number of "experts" who present themselves as authorities on distance learning whose actions go beyond what is decent and proper. They harass people and try to push their agendas in the public arena. They are well connected and have friends in very high places. This is why they are able to push through legislation at the state and Federal levels in the United States and abroad. They have access to the media and when they talk they are usually listened to. And should anyone try to argue against them or expose their activities, they become targets themselves.

While I may not agree 100% with the views of everyone here, I believe it is important to have one refuge for those giving opposing views.

IMHO there is more freedom on this board than ther ever was on Degree Discussion or any of those other boards.
