Gollin and Johann speculate on the demise of DL Truth

I like this quote from Johan:

Today is a new day, for me. Yesterday, I quit reading DLT, permanently. After I finish this comment, I shall permanently refrain from further discussion of DLT - I feel that's only proper. No harm if others want to have at 'em... enjoy your fun! However, nobody will hear a word about DLT from me.

I am old and my memory, while good, is highly selective. I have forgotten about them already... Life is good!

Gollin and Johann, back early from his one year sabbatical, go back and forth on a thread predicting the end of DL Truth. Note the interesting technique used by Gollin (Gollum, George D. Gollin, George Gollinsky) and mimicked by the others, ... continually repeat the canard that DL Truth is just one or two people with many on-screen identities to discredit the forum and minimize its legitimacy. This is a technique that has been used with great success by communists the world over and promoted by Gollin hero Saul Alinsky.

The big question is why would Gollin continue along the same path that he clearly knows is wrong? Other than the fact that it's a page from the Communist playbook and using it makes George feel like he's a revolutionary of some sort, I can only guess that it makes George feel better if he can rationalize that there are only 1 or 2 people at DLT who think he is a complete asshole. That's certainly better for his ego than coming to the realization that it is the consensus opinion of an entire forum.

Gollin is a fraud. And like any fraud he does not want to be exposed.

I would also say this much, there are a wide range of opinions on this board on just about any subject. I for one am not in lock step with anyone else. I think for myself and come to my own conclusions.

This certainly cannot be said for degreeinfo or any of those other bullshit message boards which force their own version of the truth down everyone's throat.

For sure! Those chawbacons are so desperate for cussin' fodder that "Yankee Derelict" and a couple of the others have even revived an old thread on me - and I'm by far the least interesting topic they have in their vault!

I gave up reading 'em today. For good. They just don't get it. There's more to life than sitting around a burned-out campfire sticking pins in voodoo dolls all day... Please let us know when the lights finally go out, over at "Larry's Cretin City," Dr. Gollin. It shouldn't be too long...

Notice how poor derelict Johann tries to suck up to the ruling clique at DD...How old is he? 70? And at 70yo, he STILL feels the need to appease the pack, to be initiated to the "secret handshakes", to bond with...a few idiots he has never met on some third rate website?
