The sad thing about these nosy busybodies, metiches como quieras, is that they are swindling not only the 'opposite' political side, but their own friends and buddies as well. Lately they go by the name community builders...you know...the freak who bands groups and uses the megaphone and whose loud activism ends up drowning anybody else's...he may also riding on this, that or the other subsidy, scholarship and the like.
They want to appear so selfless and sworn to the cause, but are just paving their way towards more subsidies and adding one or more lines to their CV...
I followed one such case over a few years and it is disgusting how he ended up swindling everybody with his false pretenses.
I am not saying they have no interest in what they do...I am saying their ultimate goal is to get there...at your expenses...it just another politician trying to maximize his smiles and back patting...
So while his buddies may be back to the flop house, he may have built a nice going for himself as media person, community builder etc.
Bleah...
