Don't know if you've ever read Stanley & Danko's The Millionaire Next Door, but they say almost exactly that.
I liked the little "millionaire meeting" they arranged, with champagne and caviar. The millionaires, if they drank at all, drank beer, and the interns ended up eating the caviar.
Also the one about the wife who was clipping coupons out of the newspaper when her husband came home and announced that a company stock split had netted them several million dollars. "That's nice, honey," she said, and continued clipping coupons.
The socialists and pols don't understand that "the rich" are mostly just working people who made good through hard work and perseverence. These are the people they are trying to destroy with their confiscatory schemes.
