I don't care what they are peddling today: Negro rights, gay rights, Jewish rights, animal rights, women rights...they are paid for that but I'm not going to buy, thanks.

Here's what they are peddling at Oberlin, where the Gollin Breeding Experiment's parents are paying to have their little darling prepared to face the world with a major in Comparative American Studies:  

While Comparative American Studies draws on the research and insights of a wide range of fields--including American Studies, African American Studies, Asian American Studies, Ethnic Studies, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Studies, Latina/o Studies, Native American Studies, and Gender and Women's Studies—the program is distinctive in that it pursues comparative approaches to analyzing identities, territories, and modes of social change.
