Quote:What about Germany? They send lawyers to jail for introducing evidence in court to defend people charged as hate criminals. Perhaps only the rhetoric has changed but the mindset remains.
Of course.
Now Germany is only a third rate crippled country whose 'power' is no longer measured in squadrons but in piles of junk bonds and lines of crumbling megacompanies.
However, they now try to prosecute new heretics worldwide, much as they tried to do in 1939-45.
You'd be surprised to learn how Himmler started his GESTAPO business recruiting people from surveillance agencies in the liberal and socialdemocratic Weimar republic.
After WWII a Nazi law preventing the membership of 'outlawed' movements (namely communist) from joining the civil service became the backbone of the new, 'fantastically democratic' Germany.
We are more controlled today in the most restrained Banana republic than under Hitler...most places are under camera surveillance.
I read recently of a new, vast speed trap system being set in motion...for our own good, what else? Frauds connected with the slimy speed trap underworld have been exposed repeatedly and even castigated in court, but to no avail...a few more billions so that big brother can build that cute bridge where there is no river.
