Hello Once Again,
It looks like Eric on Degree Discussion states that WHNT and George Gollin are one sided regarding the article on diploma mills. I am glad that finally someone posting there tells the truth regarding experiential learning. George Gollin and many of the other traditionalists would like you to believe that sitting in a classroom is the only way to earn a degree. Nothing but Bull Shit!!

"Very interesting report.
But one sided!
SRU was very believable site. With supposed liberian board of education accreditation, making some RA universities accept students to their Master / graduate school with SRU undergrad degrees or even in to post graduate degree programs.
I understand that no work for degree is immediately red light. But we do have valid APEL, VAE and similar portfolio assessments that do take persons career experience, training and expertise and award for that academic credential.
As I hold MCGI from City and Guilds Institute based on Portfolio.
My MCGI cost me a trip to London for interview welll I fly there a lot anyway. And portfolio of avidace , documets signed by HR and Directors of companies that employed me, my other academic credentials, specialized vendor training and consulting training.
NACES charter member evaluated my credentials from City and Guilds establishing equivalency of my LCGI, GCGI and MCGI to us Bachelors and Masters degree from RA university.
TO obtain this credentials took months but to earn them took many years ( 25 or so).
I understand the serious nature of this report and issue and the open venerability to blackmail and national security but so is adultery and other activities of persons , they to open door for blackmail.
I think going to University to earn degree is the traditional way but there are non traditional ways. As long as it done with integrity and provided by recognized accredited body.
Not the case on this report. But this reporters need to be informed that such APEL and VAE routs exist to provide valid ethical full academic degrees to experienced people and not necessary years of study in classroom of university.
