The whole thing is kind of humorous and isn't really about providing any serious social commentary although the students involved would say otherwise. If students somewhere really want to make a controversial movie and pseudo-social statement, they should consider a movie in which the prophet Mohammed is a vampire or a zombie and see what kind of reaction it gets! It would get tons of free publicity and instant notoriety

But how strange...lately many (not all, not most but many ) lefty 'special interest' & advocacy activists have started to deviate from the core communist thesis of the union of all oppressed people (negroes, women, toilers, queers AND third-world immigrant among whom muslims are a majority ) and to discover -oh suddenly!- what's unpleasant about Islam and related cultures...
