There are some other considerations...
1. Bruce is an unpaid volunteer, doing a thankless job, with any number of past incidents of people trying to pull a fast one.
OTOH,

With all due respect to the men in blue, Bruce is a blue collar beat cop, and union rabble-rouser,with little to no managerial/leadership experience, aiding a purveyer of porn (which as a public servant is somewhat stupid - there isn't any upside) who is demonstrably desperate for the role of moderator and adjunct faculty. He has no expertise in IP adddressing, etc. - and it's not reasonable to expect him to have it. It's a bit like being the french fry cook at Burger King, you cannot expect to much - and with Bruce, that's pretty much what you get.
