Gollum is probably in mourning because his entire reason for existence soon will be yesterday's news.

Gollum is still fried because (a) women, and (b) high school drop outs were pulling down more cash in a week than he has made in his whole meaningless life. His commentary at DD still reeks of the same sexist, elitist attitude he's shown since the beginning. Gollum hates strong women and he really hates people who don't have fancy degrees like he has. And he's pissed that anyone would dare to make money in education without passing through his sphincter of scrutiny first.

Obviously Dixie's biggest crime was thinking that hard work and self reliance were the keys to success in the US.? What the hell was she thinking? If she had been to one of those fancy Gollum-approved schools she would have known that the only way to make a go of it these days is by sucking on the tax-funded socialist tit like Gollum does.
