Back in 1963 the only way to leave a trail of evidence on a long-gun was to purchase it by mailorder.  Why did you choose this method of buying your Carcano instead of buying it at a gunshop that required no ID or delivery address?

I think a better question might just be, "Why didn't you just buy a better rifle?"
