As expected, the judge babe got her cute little ass kicked by Rodney Davis in the general election, 122,661 (58.75%) to 86,126 (41.25%). Rural Illinois voters have no trouble spotting an airhead when they see one. So now we can anticipate what gay activist George "Sphincter" Gollin's strategy will be to capture the Dim nomination for 2016.
1. Gollin will claim that since Callis lost to Davis by a whopping 17 points while three-time loser David Gill lost by only 1287 votes in 2012, this shows that purported male candidates are a better bet.
2. He will try to prevent Callis from running again by claiming that since he supported her in her run she should stand aside and let him run unopposed. This will minimize his expenses in the primary and leave a full war chest for the general.
3. Cajole or coerce minor candidates like Green or Bill Byrnes from Bloomington out of the Dim primary, for the same reason. Gollin knows the only chance he has to win the primary is if nobody is running against him. As his third place finish to the unfunded Green illustrates, even traditional write-in votes like Mickey Mouse and Jack Mehoff might be enough to overwhelm Gollin and his half million dollar piss-away.
4. Continue to stalk, threaten and harass anyone who opposes his domestic terrorist activities.
