When working for the state my colleague claimed a woman had brought her diploma in, just before she started work. In fact on her first day, HR made her bring in a copy of the diploma with the raised seal. This woman claimed she graduated from USC...not to shabby a school to graduate from...anyways, months after she was on board, someone in HR took a close look at the diploma and found a misspelled word and a screwy graduation date, in something like February... she was called into HR to render an account for these irregularities, and she broke down in tears, she confessed...she ordered the fake diploma on-line and used it to secure a job with the state of California...she was summarily $hitcanned... some peoples kids...
