The only way this person got this type treatment if she or he either disrespected the faculty/mentors and advisers or plagiarized an assignment and that is grounds either to terminate you from your studies and or to resubmit the assignment with a lower passing grade, as you can notice the person mention was straight "A" student and did not like the idea of resubmitting the assignment.

I agree that we only know what the individual says but NCU had better treat this one with kid gloves. We know nothing of the nature of the complaint and it is difficult to perceive what the nature of harassment would be at an online school.

Another explanation might be that the school administration does not understand the ramifications of a harassment complaint.
