“My assumption is that it has become Republican orthodoxy that [for-profit colleges] deserve all the favors they could ever want,” said Barmak Nassirian, associate executive director of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), adding that Romney’s support for Full Sail could prove a political liability in the fall.

...“Full Sail is a cure worse than the disease, because it vastly outstrips costs in every way,” Nassirian said. “And the issue is not necessarily that it’s expensive—sometimes paying a little extra is well worth it. It’s that [Full Sail] is extremely expensive and has a fairly miserable track record when it comes to outcomes.”

Nassirian is a leftist nutjob on a par with Gollum. How do these psychotics get into positions of influence anywhere? I wouldn't let this guy clean the cages at the dog pound, yet somehow he is probably pulling down six figures as the "associate executive director" at AACRAO. Not that AACRAO had any credibility to begin with, but with a mental case director running loose why would any responsible person anywhere give them the time of day? Looks a lot like CHEA in that regard.

“Contrary to what the advocates for this [for-profit] sector and their proxies constantly repeat, this is now a sector in which the vast majority of participants are actually engaged in what I view as counterfeiting of degrees and consumer fraud,” Nassirian said at a panel discussion at the New America Foundation titled “Reining in For-Profit Higher Education.”
