You would think that a guy who wrote like 97 books on the topic might have figured out by now that the beauty of distance learning is that you don't need a taxpayer-funded 1000 acre campus with lavish buildings, football stadiums, student unions, faculty lounges and parking lots.
Typical sleazy Klempner cheap shot. What's next, crank calls to the wives of all the school's admins? Then the klones molotov the place? More of those union goon tactics he finds so "delightful."
In fact Bear actually defended those little schools as good and decent efforts in his guides, but, of course, he now claims he never did such things.
But all one has to do is buy one of the old guides on E-Bay and read it. There is no doubt that Bear is the most anti Bear guy around, if, that is, you match his past statements to those of today. It's really pretty amazing. Sometimes when I re-read one of those old Bear guides it makes me think he has changed into an all new person. A person I would not like to meet or know. By the way. Bear's little Greenwich office (Hawaii) was 5000 square feet, but, here's the kicker. Greenwich only occupied about 1/2 of the upstairs offices. So, as usual, he didn't practice what he now preaches.
