PACIFIC WESTERN

A nice one from JB @ DD in response to his enthusiastic support for Pacific Western in his 'guide' in 1986:

"I don't have a 1986 edition to look at. There was a time when I believed PWU was doing an OK job for an unaccredited school, but I always made clear that this was in the context of unaccredited schools, never as good a choice as properly accredited. So at best, these words are taken out of context.

It was a few years after that that the American Journal television program did a 'sting' operation in which one of their undercover reporters was able to purchase a Master's degree in less than ten days, no questions asked. American Journal also attempted to visit the 'campus' in Hawaii, and found it to be an empty room adjoining their lawyer's offices. Any possible positiveness I may have felt for PWU was gone by this time."

And in his 1984 Edtion of his 'guide' he gave PWU the largest and most positive comments of any university - with a Comment summary stating: "Pacific Western's catalogue has a long and impressive list of major corporations, government agencies and traditional universities where employees or staff are alumni or students of PWU. Pacific Western is doing a good job, at reasonable prices (in the vacinity of $2,000 for most programs)".

"I have received a great many letters from people who all ask the same question. You have written about a great many schools. Please tell me which one is best of all.

Here, then, are my personal six favorites schools in each of five categories. There are many other good schools and programs as well.

Non-Residential Programs
Doctorate

1- University of South Africa
2- Columbia Pacific University
3-Pacific Western University
4-International Institute for Advanced Studies
5-California Coast University
6-Kensington University
--John Bear--"How to Earn an American University Degree Without Ever Going to America--1982 page 111-112, section 63

He doesn't call it Ok, and he doesn't warn people that they are inferior in any way to accredited schools. He is trying to cover his past with lies.

Notice how he includes IIAS and CPU. Both Bear schools. Now why would he do that? Smile $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
