A [regionally accredited] Cal State Northridge math professor has been charged with urinating on a colleague's office door during a dispute between the two men.

Tihomir Petrov, 43, is facing two misdemeanor counts of urinating in a public place, according to a copy of a complaint filed in Superior Court.

Petrov is expected to be arraigned Thursday in San Fernando, authorities said. The case stems from a dispute that Petrov allegedly had with another professor in the school's math department, authorities said.

Petrov was allegedly captured in early December on videotape urinating on the door of another professor's office in Santa Susana Hall, according to authorities. School officials had concealed a camera nearby after discovering puddles of what they thought was urine at the professor's door.

A judge has issued a $35,000 bench warrant for a Cal State Northridge math professor charged with urinating on a colleague's office door.

Tihomir Petrov failed to appear for a pretrial conference hearing in the case, prompting the warrant, the Los Angeles city attorney's office said Wednesday.

Petrov has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of urinating in a public place.

His lawyer advised the court that he had not had any recent contact with his client, city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan told The Times.

Petrov did appear in court during a March hearing at which he pleaded not guilty to the charges. At that time, the Daily Sundial newspaper quoted one of his attorneys as saying that the professor was concerned about how the charges would affect his career and reputation.

"[Petrov] is of course concerned that this might affect future employment," Arvand Naderi told the paper. "We're hoping his reputation will not be tarnished."

In early December, Petrov was captured on videotape urinating on the door of another professor's office in Santa Susana Hall, according to authorities. School officials had concealed a camera nearby after discovering puddles of what they thought was urine at the professor's door, officials said.

Thank g-d a certain lot of bastards lost the war...otherwise, mr. Tihomir might -just might- never have had the chance to live the American dream at the taxpayer's expenses.
Seriously, I recently finished watching a RA course taped in 1993 or so. It was taped in a real, hands-on RA class. I learnt a thing or two from the course, but the instructor was mighty weird.
I am glad I do NOT have to take classes with those people (or any other of the crazy bunch ).
