TNARS Seminary new site

As far as I can see your school is unaccredited but state-approved to confer degrees of a religious nature. You offer coursework and a structured degree programme. It means students must earn their degree by hard and honest work. Hence, your school could NOT be called a "degree mill".

Well, the folks at degreediscussion.com do not seem to approve of any unaccredited school and would falsely claim that any unaccredited school is a degree mill.

The fact is that any school starts as an unaccredited school and eventually might pursue recognised accreditation at a later point of time. Then, it takes several years for this process to complete successfully.

If an institution like yours decides not to pursue this kind of accreditation, then this is fine as well as long as you are absolutely honest in your information that you give about the school. On your site, you have clearly stated that your school is not accredited an that you will not pursue accreditation. That's fine, too.

Hence, I would say there is nothing "wrong" your school, and there is no need to "defend" yourself.

This is a free seminary.
For full disclosure, i am the current president.

It's getting some bad press over on degreediscussion.com even though we have gained quite a respectable reputation over the past few years.
