Quote:Bill Gossett referred to APCU way back in 2003
Someone at the boehluvahcentral mentioned it in 2001...but apparently they forgot about it right thereafter.
So the last myth crumbles...
Yes, gay teen porn
Yes, medical & new age quackery
Yes, bogus therapy sites for supposed teen victims of homosexual abuse
yes, no university degree
but at least he truly was so honorable to have nothing to do with degree mills & the like: wrong.
In fact, the site correctly lists other domains that everybody knows he has links to: with millions of domains out there is little doubt that might be casual.
Oh, but they have an explanation for that, too...
Quote:Are you looking for the APCU (The Association of Private Colleges and Universities)?
Guess what! They forgot to renew their domain name,
and the devious folks at DegreeInfo.com acquired it.
APCU was a fake accreditor for the equally unwonderful Trinity College and University. Although the APCU's website was originally owned by Gus Payne (associated with Trinity), in its most recent incarnation, it was operated by a one-woman show in Arizona, who once threatened to sue DegreeInfo for asking questions about the legitimacy of her organization. Apparently, she got tired of the "rigorous" job of protecting the public from (uh, no one, since she endorsed several fake schools) and has disappeared.
For those interested, there's lots more dirt on this situation (and other legitimate as well as nonwonderful schools) which you can find by searching the distance learning discussion archives at www.degreeinfo.com.
Since 2001, DegreeInfo.com has been the premier Web resource for reliable information about distance learning programs. We now offer a free, searchable database that includes every quality, regionally accredited school we know of that offers a distance learning program, as well as lots of articles, information, and other valuable resources for distance learning.
So we are apparently grasping at straws and it was all a...lark

Never mind asking why did they supposedly let it lapse after registering that domain...
Like unaccredited schools I.I.A.S, L.I.A.R, Millard Fillmore etc: a test to see how quick minded other people are...a lark...if people ended up paying for that, too bad it just shows they are slow-witted.
forget about begging the question why they would want anything to do with it in the first place...
