On a history project, I checked a group of about about 20 black families in 1910, most of whom claimed Indian ancestry, against the lists of the 5 Civilized Tribes. One father showed up at 3/8 Creek. When the Cherokees freed their slaves, they were required to give them full Indian status. It was rare for Cherokees to marry blacks.
Among families who have been in the country for hundreds of years there is a likelihood of some native ancestry. A couple of my ancestors were killed by Indians back in Massachusetts about 350 years ago. When are the ba$tards going to come to terms with their collective guilt and write me a big check in compensation for 350 years of suffering.
Speaking of race. The U.S. freed their slaves in 1865. Russia where some of my ancestors were living, freed theirs in 1870. Do you think Harvard would let me in and give me a pass like they did with Obama. Come to think of it, what historical wrong by the U.S. is being compensated by giving a Kenyan a free pass at Harvard. His family were probably the King $hits of Kenya.
