Why would anyone running a juco even need a PhD? A HS dropout running a McDonald's would be better qualified than most academics. Treating a doctorate like an E-ticket to a soft admin job is typical academic elitism and chauvinism. Most of those 6-figure "jobs" aren't even necessary in the first place and could be performed by anyone smart enough to balance their own check book.
