"North" was never anything but a gentleman who earned his doctorate from a school that lost its accreditation shortly after he received his degree. Janko used to go on and on for dozens of pages berating that poor guy. Add to that Janko's belief that Herbert was North and throw in mental illness brought on by Parkinson's and you have a seriously disturbed little fucker. God fixed his mistakes with an ice storm.
