WTF Klempner? Just curious but who had a Russian wife other than Klempner and Oswald. Both named Marina. I'd like to see the FBI file on that one. Probably bigger than his old man's.

Yeah, sure, why not. I was going to post a copy of a letter, but it would have been so marked up with black lines, to keep the DLTruth guy from attempting to sabotage things, I'll just use words.

As all of my fans and anti-fans know, soon after Marina and I got married, 47 years ago, we abandoned both my birth name (Klempner) and hers (Dobrolubova) and chose a common new name, Bear. While my parents thought this was great, there was one Klempner who was really distressed. What is wrong with our fine name, etc. And when that person died, some years later, a modest inheritance was left to a whole raft of Klempners, and very pointedly not to me. Or so I thought. What was actually done, I recently learned, was to put my 'share' into escrow, so that if I ever 'saw the light' and went back to using the name Klempner, I would get my share. The law firm was instructed to monitor the situation from time to time. And so they did . . . in a rather casual way, it seems . . . because the certified letter I got said that their occasional monitoring of the Internet had shown that I was being identified professionally, at least at times, as John Klempner, and therefore they would be releasing my share of the inheritance.

My best guess is that what they found was some combination of DLTruth lines like this:
10/30/09: "...John Klempner, the Jewish-American ruthless owner of several degree mills..."
and possibly some references to a contract I entered into a few years ago with a Broadway producer, done under my birth name because that was the name on the copyright being sold.

First of all, Klempner is a common Jewish name I see nothing bad nor exceptional with.
Second, I have this feeling he tried to imitate his father, who was a screenplay writer of some sort if I remember correctly.
When I first read all that, images of Richard Pryor, Michael J. Fox and Redd Foxx kept flooding my mind...very 1980s movie.
A google search for "John Klempner" returns 6200 hits...good luck with knowing who is who.

A "John Bear" search gives 418000 hits...so hardly a sign of a name being dropped.
