Reminds me of that story about the twin brothers, one of whom enlisted in the military. He got about half way through his hitch and decided he'd had enough. He came home and got his twin to serve the rest of his time.
When they asked the twin how he could manage when he hadn't had any training, the guy said, "My brother told me to just act stupid and salute everybody you see."
That seems to be the way a lot of these courses work--just repeat the party line and defer to the genius of the prof.

Rarely does an online instructor design his own course, write his own syllabus or materials, or engage in any original thinking. They just change the name on somebody else's syllabus, and sometimes they don't even bother doing that. Then they lecture you about the evils of plagiarism. Go figure.
