You are right Ham, probably just an exercise in futility for our new friend. But no harm in making a stink anyway. College administrators are like prison administrators. If nobody riots, escapes or shanks a guard they call it a good day. It looks bad for the admins if the students are in revolt, so they take the easy way out. The bigger the ruckus the greater likelihood of the cause being eliminated.
But Mr. or Ms. Do6turf is definitely on the right track. If students start refusing to enroll in classes taught by Valerie Davis, the admins are going to stop offering classes taught by Valerie Davis.
Look at Gollin, co-teaching freshman fine arts classes, counseling engineering students, relegated to leading a single discussion section at 8:00 in the morning. As a physics professor he now is a totally discredited non-entity. It doesn't take students too long to figure out where the pot holes are and start driving around them.
