We've been hearing a lot of similar tales about AMU since they went RA. Apparently they hired a bunch of affirmative action types who have no business teaching, which is what it sounds like you got. Check those bios before you sign on for classes there. There's still some of the old guard (pre-RA) left, but many of the new lot are bad news.
The faculty list shows her as "Master of Arts: Webster University," but she's a blank on three others which suggests a short-timer/new hire:
