Two Georgia Tech professors face fraud charges after prosecutors accuse them of being on the payrolls of two universities at the same time.

The Georgia Attorney General's office said the husband-and-wife duo of Francois Sainfort and Julie Jacko have been charged with conspiracy to defraud, theft by taking and making false statements.

The two are charged in a plot to draw paychecks from both Georgia Tech and the University of Minnesota.

State prosecutors say the two fraudulently billed Georgia Tech for travel expenses and lied about the dual employment.

The Fulton County indictment also charges them with inappropriately directing payments to Julie Jacko's brother, Robert Jacko, who also faces a conspiracy charge.

An attorney for the three could not immediately be reached.
