I have decided not to continue my SATS Ph.D. in Practical Theology. The reasons are many:
1. I just could not see making the payment when it was due. While inexpensive, it was a lot to me.
2. A doctorate in Practical Theology would have not benefitted me at all, especially since I will never serve in pastoral ministry again since becoming a Christian Scientist.
3. A Pastoral Theology degree would not benefit me in my current career in mental health.
4. While unaccredited, I already have a Ph.D. that is accepted in my state as a valid degree to engage in consumer transactions.
5. I was going to enroll in the Cal Coast Ed.D. in Ed Psych program but again, why? What good would it do me? Why spend $18,000 that I don't have and will never be able to pay off?
Thanks for all the support and encouragement.

Jimmy ran out of money? You mean between that lock smithing gig and his Sunday collection plate he wasn't rolling in the dough?
Jimmy obviously isn't Catholic, or he would know Dominus providebit. Or is Jimmy not on good terms with the Lord anymore? Those off brands might not have the same pull upstairs as the old reliables.
