Trident seems right in the same class as those meaningless vapor names like Argosy, Capella, and Alliant. Sounds like a car model named by people who don't speak English, like a Fairlady or a Cedric.
Presumably they want to avoid any sort of regional identity. We all know how much that hurt U of Phoenix.
How many billion dollars have they made? Wouldn't want to follow that business model.But then if that is the purpose why add the redundant and meaningless "International" to the name? If "international" in the name is supposed to strike a chord with foreigners, then why do I see people all over Asia wearing knockoff UCLA gear?
About the only thing worse than having "International" in the name is "Intercontinental." Why not cover all the bases and go "Interplanetary" or "Intergalactic"?
What was wrong with naming stuff after the guy who started the company, like Ford and Chrysler, or Stanford and Harvard? Another successful model we should avoid emulating? And if Yoram Neumann University sounds a little too ethnic, just do an Emanuel Goldenberg (Edward G. Robinson). I'm thinking something familiar, like Alfred E. Neuman University. (Finals? What, me worry?)
