These things have long-term repercussions, especially for what appears to be a younger guy like Okosun.
Ten years from now, will people be laughing at this ridiculous attack by the scumbag Gollin? Or will they be lining up our Nigerian friend to be drummed out of academia for this or some other trumped up charge?
Anybody looking for 15-year old dirt on DesElms can easily find out all about his hooker adventures with a simple google search. Again, if Okosun wants to move up to bigger and better things down the road, won't somebody find that sleazy story and be inclined to take a pass on Okosun because some doofus physics prof thinks he "misled" someone?

You seem to take literally the fact this African man was 'exceptional'...
Do you think if his name was Okostein and he had two master's degrees from Yeshiva that Gollin would be on his case? For some reason Gollin seems to have an extra special interest in the activities of black people and Catholics or Christians.
It may be that Okosun earned his job or it may be that he got the affirmative action discount. Either way, he's not being attacked because of how he got his job, he's being attacked because some slimy little bigot doesn't like his race and/or religion.
I won't sit back silently and watch that happen, nor should anyone. I don't know your race or religion, ham, but if they should happen to not be on Gollin's approved list would you want others taking the "I won't move a finger" attitude?
