The "fake MD" thing was an obvious lie. Everyone knows it's already illegal to practice medicine without a license. The practice of medicine is very heavily regulated, so even a real diploma does not permit anyone to practice medicine illegally. And the fact is that more people are killed every day by incompetent doctors with "real MDs," which doesn't seem to bother Gollin at all.
But the interesting thing to me is that we now are seeing how Gollin's "diploma mill expert" scam is really working. According to the complaint, Gollin knew that St. Luke was not a mill and that it was being shaken down by the Liberians. He knew their accreditation had been revoked because they hadn't paid bribes and not because the school was fake. And he knew St. Luke had obtained judgments against the Liberians on this very issue. Yet despite that knowledge Gollin continued to broadcast the lie that St. Luke was a mill.
So it's not just the absent-minded professor who got tricked by those clever Liberian crooks. Rather, it is as we all had long surmised, a devious little weasel bent on self-promotion who was trying to boost his own lame career as a "mill buster" at the expense of some insignificant (to him) black Christians.
Now, of course, when you are a "PhD" (even one with a laughable 16-person collaboration of a dissertation), and when you are an "expert" (even one whose title is wholly self-bestowed), nobody is going to believe that you don't know exactly what is going on. When your own resume plainly states (on page 2) that you are employed as a "consultant" to the corrupt Liberian regime, you are pretty much admitting that you are bought and paid for.
So as the facts begin to emerge it becomes increasingly clear that Gollin really is the lying scumbag we all suspected he was.
Now that Gollin has gotten Oregon taxpayers into the same deep crap as he has doused Illinois taxpayers in, I'd expect Oregon to be bringing some sort of cross-action against Illinois and Gollin for contribution. At some point don't Illinois taxpayers have to start asking whether they are paying $100K/year for a physics teacher or a $120 million lawsuit magnet?
And isn't this exactly the sort of thing that Oregon's AG foresaw in the Kennedy-Western case, when they required Gay Al to do remedial defamation law coursework? They knew it was just a matter of time before the fat pervert took a dump on a mill that wasn't a mill. Somebody in Oregon has to be asking whether Oregon even needs an ODA in the first place, let alone an adjudicated anti-Christian bigot and civil rights violator to run it.
